- Turntable
TAT1M2
- A flagship model heavy turntable. The weight of the granite base, the brass platter, and the air floating create the ultimate rotation.
- Super heavyweight and high rigidity
- Non-servo motor drive
- Expandability with two arms

Features
- Super heavyweight and high rigidity
- In the playback of records, which record sound vibrations in microns, unnecessary vibrations are suppressed as much as possible. Low-frequency vibrations are suppressed by weight, and high-frequency vibrations are suppressed by air. The ultra-heavyweight chassis, including the granite base and brass platter, and both the base and platter have an air floating structure with high-precision machining of 5μm to suppress the transmission of unnecessary vibrations.
detail
Base
It uses 40 kg of granite that has been stabilized over 5 million years. The granite's weight and vibration-damping characteristics suppress unnecessary vibrations from the floor surface. The granite is processed to JIS 0 grade with a flatness of 5μ, equivalent to a stone surface plate, which is the standard for manufacturing mother machines (machine tools), and a levitated plate rotates on it while maintaining a distance of several tens of μ.
Platter
To obtain stable rotation, a brass platter 344 mm in diameter and weighing 28 kg rotates with a high moment of inertia. The weight of the platter is supported by air pressure, and only a few hundred grams of lateral force is applied to the bearings, resulting in a structure free from unnecessary vibration and long-term reliability.
Stabilizer
The part where the platter touches the record disc is tapered, and the record disc is held in place from above by a heavy stainless steel stabilizer. The platter and the record are closely adhered to each other to suppress unnecessary vibration when the needle tip traces the record.
- Non-servo motor drive
- Accurate sound pickup requires constant, unwavering platter rotation. In the method of obtaining that rotation by servo control, the speed control cycle becomes a source of noise in the audio band. Therefore, open-loop control is employed, in which no servo control is applied. The 28 kg brass platter is rotated only by a high moment of inertia. Although there is a drawback that it takes a long time to start up, it has realized a high level of quietness without generating noise.

XFD System
CS Port's unique drive system, which forms a direct digital voltage generator based on a frequency-accurate crystal oscillator to provide a fluctuation-free, high-precision voltage. This allows the coreless motor to rotate at a constant speed without speed control, rotating the 28 kg brass platter with only a high moment of inertia.
Thread drive
A thread drive made of aramid fiber, which is stronger than steel, transfers the force of the motor to the platter. While this has the disadvantage of taking a long time to start up, it does not easily transmit motor vibration and has little elongation, so it drives the platter reliably.
- Expandability with two arms
- Configurations can be selected to suit the system, such as using a swing arm or two arms. Swing arm attachments can be machined to match the specified arm. (Various attachments are sold separately)
- Highly Quiet Air Supply
- The air supply is equipped with a highly reliable pump used in medical equipment to powerfully supply the volume required by the platter and linear arm. A double-sealed sound leakage and vibration prevention system keeps the system quiet enough to be installed in a listening room. Driven by 12 VDC supplied from the motor drive unit, the motor type pump used in medical equipment, etc., ensures stable operation over a long period of time. (Sold separately)
